Story

Snow Goggles: A talented young hunter was blinded when his jealous stepmother burned his snow goggles, and the sun's glare on the snow scorched his eyes and blinded him.

Quiver & Bow: Blind but skilled, the boy killed a polar bear attacking his home, though his stepmother lied, claiming it escaped while secretly keeping the pelt and meat.

Claw of Polar Bear: Doubting his skills, the boy found a bear claw frozen in the snow, proving he had struck the bear after all. 

The Polar Bear Meat: The boy’s sister, defying their stepmother, secretly shared portions of the stolen polar bear meat to keep him fed.

Driftwood Carving of a Loon Bird: A loon bird, moved by the boy’s perseverance, healed his blindness by diving with him into the icy ocean waters. 

Harpoon: With his vision restored, the boy hunted a massive beluga whale that dragged his stepmother into the ocean, where legend says she became the first narwhal.
